Dubai National School, Al Barsha

Dubai National School, Al Barsha, was established in 1988 and is a private American curriculum school located in the Al Barsha area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The school is one of two branches, the other being in Al Twar, and serves a student population of approximately 2,700.

DNS Al Barsha offers education from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 and has classes segregated by gender from Grade 4 onward. The curriculum is based on the US Common Core standards and Next Generation Science Standards while also integrating Islamic education and Arabic language studies in accordance with local cultural requirements.

Dubai National School is owned by H.E. Mr. Marwan Al Ghurair, an Emirati businessman with deep roots in the Gulf region’s business sector. The school is governed by a Board of Trustees committed to maintaining high educational standards and a vision aligned with national and international goals.

Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Commission on International Education (CIE), the school’s High School Diploma is recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education and is equivalent to the National Secondary Certificate (Al Thanaweiah Al-Ameh).
