Festival City Mall

Dubai Festival City Mall is a prominent retail and entertainment destination located in Dubai Festival City, on the eastern bank of Dubai Creek in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The mall officially opened on January 22, 2007, as part of the larger Dubai Festival City development by Al-Futtaim Group, which was conceived as a self-contained "city-within-a-city" project encompassing residential, commercial, and leisure spaces. The mall spans approximately 232,507 square meters (2.4 million square feet) of leasable area, housing over 400 retail stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

Dubai Festival City Mall is home to several anchor tenants including the Middle East’s largest IKEA store, two major hypermarkets Carrefour and Lulu, Mark & Spencer, Ace Hardware, and VOX Cinemas. The mall is famous for Festival Bay, a waterfront promenade adjacent to Dubai Creek, where the acclaimed “IMAGINE” nightly multimedia fountain and laser show takes place, holding two Guinness World Records.

The mall underwent a significant expansion between 2015 and 2017 with an investment of around AED 1.2-1.5 billion, which added Festival Square, waterfront restaurants, and an enhanced entertainment complex. This expansion introduced new retail brands and the Robinsons Department Store from Singapore.

Conveniently situated near Dubai International Airport with easy access via roads, metro, and boat services, Dubai Festival City Mall hosts over 23 million visitors annually and maintains a high Gross Leasable Area occupancy. Its location along the creek offers scenic views of Dubai’s skyline, making it not only a shopping hub but also a focal point for leisure and social gatherings.

The mall continually evolves with new additions like Market Island, the largest food hall in the Middle East, introduced in 2023, featuring over 50 dining concepts and the first licensed bar in a UAE shopping mall, enhancing the dining experience for visitors.
