Latifa School for Girls

Latifa School for Girls in Dubai was established in 1982 by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the former Ruler of Dubai, under the aegis of the Government of Dubai. It was founded with the aim of providing high-quality education to girls, combining the best practices of the British educational system with a curriculum that embraces UAE values and traditions along with global awareness.

The school offers a British curriculum adapted to suit the cultural context and individual needs of its students, including Arabic and Islamic studies as mandated by the UAE Ministry of Education. Students at Latifa School sit for GCSE, AS, and A-Level examinations, as well as Ministry-approved Arabic and Islamic studies assessments, ensuring that all graduates leave the school bilingual.

The leadership and majority of staff are British, while the Arabic and Islamic Studies departments are staffed by qualified Arab nationals.
