Magrudy's Enterprise is a well-established retail business in Dubai that began trading in 1975 and has since become a central part of Dubai's retail and cultural life. Originally starting as a store specializing primarily in educational toys and school supplies, Magrudy’s quickly integrated children's books into its offerings, which soon became a significant part of its business.

The name "Magrudy’s" was chosen for its ease of pronunciation in both Arabic and English and is often mistaken as the founder's surname.

Over time, Magrudy's expanded its product categories to include mother and baby items, cookery books, fiction, stationery, arts and crafts supplies, and school uniforms, reflecting the diverse needs of Dubai’s growing population.

It operates multiple retail outlets across the UAE, including five shops in Dubai, with additional branches in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The company is family-run and maintains a strong focus on community engagement, promoting reading and education through book clubs, author events, and partnerships with local schools.

Magrudy's has also developed a significant wholesale and distribution arm, supplying educational and stationery products to various key accounts within the UAE and neighboring Gulf countries.
