The Indian High School, Dubai

The Indian High School, Dubai, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Indian curriculum schools in the United Arab Emirates. Founded in 1961 by Maghanmal Pancholia, it was established to provide quality education to the children of Indian expatriates and remains the first expatriate educational institution in Dubai.

The school's land was generously granted by Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the then ruler of Dubai, reflecting its foundational importance in the region's educational landscape. The school started with only eight students and has grown significantly to encompass over 15,000 students across three campuses, including those with special needs.

It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and follows the CBSE curriculum, preparing students for standardized national examinations.

The Indian High School emphasizes academic excellence alongside cultural values, fostering a nurturing environment for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. With about 600 teachers, the school has developed comprehensive educational facilities and programs supporting diverse needs, including special education services.

It has been recognized multiple times as an "Outstanding" institution by Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and is the only school in the Gulf to have won the prestigious Sheikh Hamdan Award for Distinguished School and School Administration twice.
