Anara Tower

Anara Tower was a proposed supertall skyscraper planned for the Sheikh Zayed Road area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The tower was designed by Atkins Design Studio for Tameer Holding Investment and was envisioned to reach a height of approximately 600 meters (about 1,968 feet) with 135 floors, making it one of the tallest buildings proposed for Dubai.

The architectural design was inspired by the vertical shape of a minaret and resembled a massive wind turbine, incorporating elements that suggested a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Anara Tower was planned as a mixed-use development combining around 300 luxury branded apartments, a 250-key five-star hotel, office spaces, retail outlets, and recreational facilities such as health spas, pools, and sports courts.

The design included four sky gardens spaced every 27 floors to provide residents and tenants with landscaped outdoor spaces, enhancing quality of life while contributing to environmental objectives.

The tower was designed to maximize views, with its orientation allowing approximately 60 percent of its site space to enjoy sea views. Amenities also included a high-end art gallery and multiple dining options, with one notable feature being a panoramic restaurant housed in a glass capsule at the pinnacle of the tower.

The building’s design emphasized water and energy efficiency and contemplated incorporating renewable energy sources, aligning with LEED certification standards.

Despite its visionary design and ambitious scale, the project never progressed beyond the design phase and was later canceled. Anara Tower remains an example of Dubai’s architectural ambition and its pursuit of iconic, sustainable skyscraper projects that blend luxury living with innovative design.
