Business Bay Crossing, also known as Ras Al Khor Bridge, is a major bridge over Dubai Creek that facilitates traffic flow between the Deira and Bur Dubai districts, as well as connectivity to Sharjah.
Opened in June 2007, the bridge stretches approximately 1.6 kilometers (0.99 miles) in length and features 13 lanes—six lanes going from Deira to Bur Dubai, and seven lanes in the opposite direction.
It includes a maritime channel that is 60 meters wide and 15 meters high, allowing ships to pass beneath without obstruction. The bridge was constructed by BESIX and cost around 800 million dirhams.
Designed to ease congestion on Dubai Creek crossings, Business Bay Crossing has a traffic capacity of about 26,000 vehicles per hour, playing a vital role in Dubai's infrastructure as one of the newest and busiest crossings.
Strategically located about 1.5 kilometers south of the Al Garhoud Bridge near Dubai Festival City, it serves as a key corridor for motorists traveling between Bur Dubai, Deira, and beyond, including Emirates Road and Sheikh Zayed Road.
More recently, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) added toll gates to regulate traffic flow and reduce congestion, supporting improved travel times and road safety in the busy Business Bay area. The bridge combines modern design with robust engineering to handle heavy daily traffic and remains a critical element of Dubai’s expanding transportation network.
