City, University of London Dubai Centre was established in February 2007 as a regional center of educational excellence for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
It was launched in collaboration with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), reflecting City, University of London’s global expansion and commitment to delivering high-quality postgraduate education beyond its London campus. The Dubai Centre’s offices were officially inaugurated on May 5, 2009, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The centre specializes in delivering executive education and programs primarily through the renowned Cass Business School (now known as Bayes Business School), including the Executive MBA (EMBA), MSc in Aviation Management, and LLM in Maritime Law.
The Dubai Centre functions as an administrative and educational hub, providing logistical support for academic programs, marketing, corporate engagement, and alumni relations. It operates with London-based faculty delivering courses through a part-time, block-teaching format suitable for working professionals.
The centre also serves as a locus for networking among business leaders and students in the region, thereby enhancing career and professional development opportunities. It is recognized for its rigorous academic standards and successful integration of practical business expertise with theoretical knowledge.
The Dubai Centre plays a strategic role in City University’s internationalization and contribution to the region’s education and business landscapes, consistently receiving positive feedback from its student body for the quality of its programs and faculty engagement.
Dubai’s success lies in its ability to welcome the world.
