The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) was established in 1983 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, with the primary mission to develop human capital and provide specialized education and training for the banking and financial services sector in the UAE.

It has grown over the years to become a leading institution supporting the Emiratization initiative by equipping UAE nationals and professionals with the skills required for career growth in banking, finance, insurance, and related industries. EIBFS operates three state-of-the-art campuses strategically located in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai, offering a range of programs from diplomas and bachelor’s degrees to specialized training sessions in banking, finance, Islamic banking, and insurance.

The institute has formed partnerships and collaborations with prestigious educational institutions globally to bring advanced and recognized courses to the UAE. Its academic offerings include the Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance, Higher Banking Diploma, and Islamic Banking Diploma, among other programs tailored to meet the evolving demands of the financial sector.

EIBFS also publishes the annual “Banking and Finance UAE” magazine, which covers industry developments, innovations, risk management, and regulatory frameworks relevant to executives and professionals in the region's financial sector.
