Gevora Hotel

Gevora Hotel is a prominent skyscraper hotel located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With a height of approximately 356.33 meters (1,169 feet) and 75 floors, it holds the Guinness World Record as the tallest hotel building in the world as of its opening in February 2018.

The hotel was originally planned as a residential building but was converted into a luxury hotel during construction. The development was undertaken by Al Attar Properties, with Al Turath Engineering Consultants as the architect of record. Construction began in 2005 and took twelve years to complete, involving contractors such as Al Fara'a General Contracting, Naresco Contracting, and Caterpillar Contracting.

The tower features 528 rooms spread across 71 floors and includes several facilities such as restaurants, a pool atop the parking garage, and amenities designed to create an opulent guest experience.

The structure is clad in a gold-tinted glass façade with a distinctive pyramid-shaped crown that adds to its architectural height of 357.8 meters (1,174 feet). A deep foundation system stabilizes the narrow tower, and six elevators, three of which reach the top floors at speeds of up to 16 mph, facilitate vertical movement.

The hotel is centrally located near the Dubai International Financial Centre, the Emirates Towers, and the Dubai Metro, making it accessible and popular for business travelers and tourists alike.

Despite surpassing the previous record holder, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, by almost one meter, the Gevora Hotel's record as the tallest hotel will soon be surpassed by Ciel Dubai Marina, set to open in late 2025.
