Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) is the first smart university in the United Arab Emirates, established in 2002 under the leadership of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the university’s president.

Founded as an innovative higher education initiative, HBMSU was conceived to transform traditional education through smart learning technologies, emphasizing a learner-centered, flexible, and blended learning model. The university integrates online classrooms, face-to-face instruction, and self-paced learning, making education accessible to a wide variety of students, including working professionals and high school graduates.
