HHHR Tower, also known as the Blue Tower, is a striking supertall skyscraper located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The building rises to a height of approximately 317 meters (1,040 feet) and comprises 72 floors.
Construction began in 2006 and was completed in 2010. Designed by architect Al Hashemi, the tower primarily serves residential purposes but incorporates some commercial spaces as well. At the time of its completion, HHHR Tower was the second-tallest residential building in the world, surpassed only by Australia's Q1 Tower. As of 2025, it remains one of the tallest residential buildings in Dubai and ranks among the tallest globally.
The tower is known for its distinctive blue glass façade, which reflects sunlight by day and illuminates the night skyline of Dubai, contributing to the city's vibrant urban aesthetic. It has a unique twisted architectural design that symbolizes movement and dynamism, while also enhancing the building's structural stability, enabling it to withstand strong desert winds.
HHHR Tower contains 454 residential apartments with a variety of layouts including one, two, and three-bedroom units. The upper floors feature exclusive penthouses that offer luxurious living spaces with panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline.
Residential amenities in HHHR Tower include a gymnasium, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, squash and tennis courts, and seven floors dedicated to parking. The building provides facilities for differently-abled residents, security through CCTV and on-site maintenance staff, as well as multiple high-speed elevators for comfortable vertical transportation.
The tower was built by a joint venture between UAE's Al Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading Co. and Hong Kong's Hip Hing Construction Co., known for other significant projects such as Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. HHHR Tower stands as an architectural and engineering marvel in Dubai's iconic skyline, embodying both luxury living and innovative design.
The impulse to travel is one of the hopeful symptoms of life.
