Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium

Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, located in the Al Mamzar area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is a multi-use stadium primarily used for football matches. Named after Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the stadium was originally built in 1978 and has a seating capacity of approximately 12,000 spectators.

It has served as the home ground for Al Shabab Al Arabi Club until 2017, when the club merged with Al Ahli and Dubai clubs to form Shabab Al-Ahli Club. Since then, Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium has functioned as a secondary stadium for the newly merged team. The stadium has a natural grass surface and is equipped to host various sporting activities.

In 2019, the stadium underwent a comprehensive renovation and reopened with upgraded facilities to improve the experience for players and fans. The renovation was part of Dubai's broader efforts to enhance its sports infrastructure and maintain venues that meet international standards.

The stadium has been a key venue for domestic football in the UAE and has hosted several memorable matches over the years. Though it is overshadowed by larger stadiums like the Rashid Stadium and Al Nasr’s Al Maktoum Stadium in Oud Metha, the Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium continues to hold importance in Dubai’s sporting landscape as a historic and functional football venue.

Dubai redefines what a global tourism hub can be.
