Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, born on November 12, 1977, in Dubai, is an Emirati politician and a prominent member of the ruling family of Dubai. She is the eldest child of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the current ruler of Dubai, and his former wife Sheikha Randa bint Mohammed Al-Banna.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Interior Design and a master's degree in Marketing from the American University of Dubai. She is married to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE and a member of the Abu Dhabi ruling family. Together, they have five children.

She is a leading advocate for women's empowerment and social development in the UAE. She founded the Dubai Ladies Club in 2003 and later established the Dubai Women Establishment in 2006, which focuses on enhancing the role of women in various sectors across the emirate.

She also initiated the "Women on Boards" campaign to increase female representation in corporate leadership. Beyond her political and social activism, she is an artist and a major patron of the arts in the UAE, launching awards for young artists across diverse fields such as fine arts, photography, multimedia, and design.

She serves as Chairperson of the Dubai Women Establishment and the UAE Gender Balance Council. Moreover, she holds honorary positions, including Chairperson of the Emirates Down Syndrome Association and the Emirates Marine Environmental Group, and acts as an Ambassador for the Dubai Cares Foundation.

She launched the Manal Humanitarian Initiative in 2013, aiming to strengthen humanitarian work locally, regionally, and internationally.
