Mohammad Omar, full name Mohammed Omar Mohammed Ahmed Al-Shaddadi, is a retired Emirati footballer born on November 11, 1976, in Dubai, UAE. He enjoyed a distinguished football career spanning over two decades, during which he played for several prominent clubs including Al Wasl, Al Ain, Al Jazira, Al Dhafra, Al-Nasr, and Ajman Club.
In 2002, he also had a stint with the Omani club Dhofar, where he notably scored in the final of the Sultan Qaboos Cup. He served as the captain of the United Arab Emirates national football team from 2002 until 2008, leading his country in numerous international competitions.
Known for his leadership on the field and his scoring ability, he contributed significantly to the UAE national team's successes. After retiring from active football in 2010, during which he returned to play his final season with his first club Al Wasl, he transitioned into management and currently serves as the CEO of Mumbai Tigers F.C. in India.
Mohammad Omar is also the younger brother of Zuhair Bakhit, another noted UAE football figure. Throughout his career, he earned several honors, including multiple UAE League titles and the Arabian Gulf Cup with the national team in 2007.
