Mohammed Al Gergawi

Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, born in Dubai in 1963, is a prominent Emirati politician and businessman, currently serving as the Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and the Chairman of the Executive Office of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai.

He completed his primary and secondary education in Dubai and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the United States. He has been instrumental in shaping Dubai’s economic development and strategic vision, having held key leadership roles including founding Director General of Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City, and Chairman of Dubai Holding until 2017.

Throughout his career, he has overseen numerous major initiatives such as the establishment of Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, Dubai Healthcare City, and Dubai International Financial Centre, fostering the growth of these hubs into global centers of commerce and innovation.

He also played a crucial role in launching the Dubai Quality Award, Dubai Government Excellence Program, and several major events intended to boost tourism and commerce including the Dubai Shopping Festival.

He was appointed Minister of Cabinet Affairs in 2006 and has since taken on additional responsibilities including chairing the World Government Summit, the Dubai Future Foundation, and the Museum of the Future.

His efforts extend into the media sector, where he led the creation of Dubai Media Incorporated and related media initiatives to position Dubai as a media hub in the region.

He has also been involved in higher education governance and various philanthropic causes.
