University of Kalba

The University of Kalba was established in 2023 by an Emiri Decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

It was created as an independent university, evolving from the branch of the University of Sharjah located in Kalba city. The university is a non-profit, autonomous academic institution that enjoys both financial and administrative independence, fully owned by the government of Sharjah.

The establishment of the University of Kalba represents a significant milestone in the educational landscape of the city, aiming to fulfill the aspirations of local students and contribute to regional development.

The university began with the establishment of the College of Sport Sciences and has expanded to include multiple colleges such as the College of Arts and Information Technology, College of Sharia, College of Law, College of Business Administration, and College of Arts, Science, and Information Technology.

Its academic programs are designed to meet the needs of the region’s growing industries and dynamic academic environment, offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees with a focus on quality and accreditation.
