Uptown Dubai Tower 1

Uptown Dubai Tower 1, also known as Burj 2020, is a megatall mixed-use skyscraper under construction in the Uptown Dubai district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The tower is designed to reach a height of 711 meters (2,333 feet) with 115 floors, making it one of the tallest buildings in the world. The project was first announced by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) in 2015 to commemorate Dubai winning the bid to host Expo 2020, hence its nickname Burj 2020.

Architecturally designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, the tower integrates modern sustainable features and is envisioned to offer a variety of amenities including luxury residences, a five-star hotel, extensive office spaces, retail areas, restaurants, and health and wellness facilities.

The façade is composed of faceted glass panels that filter light and provide residents and visitors with spectacular views of the Dubai skyline and waterfront. Construction officially began in early 2025 with projected completion between 2028 and 2030.
