Zabeel Stadium

Zabeel Stadium is a multi-purpose sports venue located in the Za’abeel area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Completed in 1974, it is one of the oldest and most iconic stadiums in the city, primarily used for football matches.

The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 8,439 spectators and serves as the home ground for Al Wasl Football Club, one of the UAE’s most prominent football teams. Zabeel Stadium has played a significant role in Dubai’s sporting history, witnessing numerous key domestic league matches and becoming a cultural gathering point for football fans across the region.

The stadium features a classic open-air design with a main grandstand and surrounding terraces, arranged in a bowl shape to offer unobstructed views for spectators. Notable for its four towering floodlights installed early in its history, Zabeel Stadium has long been recognized for its vibrant evening matches.

Over the years, it has undergone several upgrades to improve seating comfort, safety, and facilities such as VIP suites, media areas, and concession stands while retaining its intimate atmosphere that brings fans close to the action. The venue also occasionally hosts cultural events and has served as a neutral venue for international football fixtures, notably during geopolitical conflicts affecting home venues of visiting teams.

Situated in the central Za’abeel district near key landmarks such as Za’abeel Park and Dubai’s financial and retail hubs, the stadium remains a cherished landmark in Dubai’s sports landscape, blending a rich legacy with ongoing relevance.

Dubai is a crossroads where cultures meet and commerce thrives.
