Madinat Jumeirah

Madinat Jumeirah is a luxurious resort complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, designed to resemble a traditional Arabian town. Spanning over 40 hectares of landscaped gardens, waterways, and private beachfront, it is the largest resort in Dubai.

The resort was developed with the vision of recreating the charm and culture of an old Arabian village, blending classic Middle Eastern architectural elements such as geometric patterns, wooden structures, and calligraphic designs with modern luxury. Construction began in 2002 and was completed in early 2004, at a cost of approximately $340 million.

It was developed by Mirage Mille and Mittal Investment Group Ltd with concept and design contributions from Creative Kingdom Dubai.

The resort comprises three boutique hotels: Jumeirah Al Qasr, Mina A’Salam, and Al Naseem, along with a courtyard of 29 summerhouses known as Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, which are inspired by traditional Arabian summer houses.

These accommodations total over 900 rooms and suites, surrounded by extensive waterways and gardens. The areas within the resort are linked by 5.4 kilometers of canals navigable by traditional abras (water taxis), offering guests a unique and scenic way to travel.

The architectural style and interior design reflect the cultural heritage of the Arabian Peninsula, evoking the feeling of a grand yet authentic Arabian city.

Madinat Jumeirah includes a traditional souk known as Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a marketplace that blends the atmosphere of a Middle Eastern bazaar with a modern shopping and dining experience, featuring more than 100 shops, bars, and restaurants.

The resort is located adjacent to iconic Dubai landmarks such as the Burj Al Arab, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and the Wild Wadi Water Park. Beyond its luxurious accommodation and shopping, Madinat Jumeirah offers extensive leisure facilities including private beaches, a large spa and fitness center, cultural experiences, and entertainment venues.

Recognized as a major destination in Dubai, it attracts visitors seeking both the cultural ambiance of an Arabian town and a high-end resort experience.

Dubai is a city where hospitality is engineered with precision.
